Gateway to Sequoia
Sequoia National Park, established in 1890 as the second national park in the United States, sits just minutes east of Visalia in the southern Sierra Nevada.

Sequoia National Park was established on September 25, 1890, protecting 404,064 acres of the southern Sierra Nevada. The park is home to Mount Whitney, the highest point in the contiguous United States at 14,505 feet, and the General Sherman Tree, the largest tree on Earth by volume. Approximately 84 percent of the combined Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks is designated as roadless wilderness, accessible only by foot or horseback.
The park's proximity to Visalia—just minutes from the park gates—makes the ancient giant sequoias accessible to families throughout the region. In 2022 alone, more than 1.1 million visitors came to walk the trails, stand beneath the tallest trees on the continent, and experience the landscape that inspired the creation of the national park system itself. The park was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1976.
For Visalia families, the proximity to Sequoia shapes the rhythm of life: weekend trips to the mountains, traditions built on a landscape few cities share. That stability—knowing what matters and planning to protect it—is the foundation of life insurance. A term policy ensures that the people who depend on you can hold onto those traditions, and the home and security you build together.
